Note the club is holding a raffle contest to raise some $$$. A pic of the very nicely carved handle is available on the page link above. There are more pics if anyone wants to see them. $2 each or 3 for $5 is the price.

Opening day….

Hey Everyone – well opening day was a great day, with lots of people turning out and great weather too. Thanks to Don for letting us use his fields and to those who brought along beer, keep up the good work.

Scott has a some stickers of the club logo for sale ($3.00). They look great so thanks to Scott for doing that. Some t-shirts at the hunt test might also be available.

Stay tuned…..we should make sure we get some training pictures and videos up over the coming weeks ahead.

Scott is apparently going to have some stickers available for purchase on opening day. No word on how they look, but I’m sure they’re pretty decent. T-shirts should be available on the May test – thanks Scott!

There is also DU banquet later this month in Wolfville (April 25), if anyone is interested in tickets, contact Scott (the link to his website and info is to the right).

Opening Day Announcement

Hey folks this is just a notice to let you all know that we have set a date for our OPENING DAY trg session and get together for the Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club. This years Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday April 19th at 10:00 am at my place (Don’s). Depending on the number of people that show up we may split into 2 groups and half may go to Talbot Sweetapples property (just a short drive away). Inclement weather date will be the following weekend Saturday April 26th at the same time and place. We will start our regular weekly trg sessions following Opening day. Hope to see you all here and let me know if anyone needs directions.

On another note we need to get some dues collected so that we have some money to function. As such I am asking those that are going to be able to come to Opening day to bring their $30 membership dues on that day. If you are unable to come  and still wish to be a member of the EFHRC can you please put a cheque ( made out to EFHRC) in the mail to me at 294 Mckay Road , Newport, Nova Scotia, B0N 2A0.
