Hunt test premium list posted

Don has sent out the May hunt test  premium list. There is a new page (above) added for the hunt test, which also contains a link to the list, and will eventually have results, pics posted as well.

Added an 8 minute video on the trainng page of a fella working with four dogs honouring one another as he sends each.

Lots of activity

Well thanks to everyone for their comments on the blog, which are scattered across the different pages. A couple of things to note:

Nick and his buddies have a hunting video up on the hunting page. It’s really great, don’t let the Brittany retrieving an orange rubber glove fool ya

Nick also wondered about getting the logo made into a sticker for his truck and Scott forwarded a link to waterfowl decals (over on the right there under ‘products’). Might be a good idea to raise some funds…..thoughts?

And congrats to member Gerry Young and her young curly coated retriever dog who just recieved her American CH in January. Can/Am Ch Cobbossee’s Magda Worden.

Winter…sucks

As you may notice, I changed the banner of the blog. Its easy to do so I’ll change it every now and then when there are some new pics from hunting or training. As the title say’s winter kind of sucks for training, so we were out for a walk the other day along the river in Brooklynn. These are Talbot’s Chesapeakes, with the head of my dog just visible, and another one of my females out-of-sight. Walking 6 chesapeakes at once is a lot of fun, really. Well the “Dog Whisperer” ain’t got anything on Talbot – who brings his whole ‘pack’ to heel calmly across a busy road to the river. Anyway, look for Talbot’s newest puppy K.D (out of Montauk’s Chesapeakes), second from right, to be all ready to go this spring at the club’s hunt test.

I noticed the two Lardy videos I had posted in the training section no longer worked so they’ve been replaced by a new one. The two video’s in the hunting section work and are kind of funny to watch, especially the duck commander one.

Welcome to the Eastern Flyway Hunting and Retriever Club’s web log (aka blog). Here we will regularly update the club’s activities, post photos, share retriever and hunting news, post the club’s premiums for up-coming events and post the training schedule as well. We’ll also continue to update our links with training, breeding and hunting resources.

We’re going to try and get things fired up here soon, so I’ll be posting things regularly and hope members will send in photos, links, etc. Also please share the link to the blog with others and we’ll see if we can start to get some traffic going around the blog.
